Card of the Week - Happy Birthday, Sidney!

Sidney Poitier is a remarkable man. He reads four newspapers a day (cool & old school), he is an ambassador, he is the first African American man to win an Academy Award (for Lilies in the Field), he worked for civil rights and marched on Washington, and he has directed movies, written books, and dabbled in Plato. A full resume. But in the documentary, One Bright Light, he tells some amazing anecdotes about his early life in the Bahamas. My second favorite story was how he sort of got into acting for spite. And if you cannot be motivated by Sidney's moxie and spite, then nothing can motivate you! Here's my tribute to Sidney from the Anecdote card line.
